Custom FFB files, ready to install

3 profiles from the Custom-FFB Collection, cross-checked against 38 of our 60 wheelbases. We tell you the values to enter in AMS2 and you download the file from your base's page.

And Pilot Manager installs them for you: it detects your base, backs up your own file before touching anything, and you can roll back.

Tune by symptom

Change one thing at a time and run two laps with the same car.

Dead center

The wheel says nothing when you start turning.

  • Raise LFB by +5 if you are not on direct drive.
  • On DD, avoid LFB and add a little base detail/filter instead.
  • Check that the profile is Default+ before changing everything.

Frequently asked questions

What FFB settings should I use in Automobilista 2?

It depends on your wheel base. In AMS2 you set Gain so peak forces don’t clip, Low Force Boost to bring out fine details, plus FX and Damping. Gonky Racing’s FFB guide gives a ready preset for each wheel base (Fanatec, Moza, Simucube, Logitech, Thrustmaster).

What is Low Force Boost (LFB) in AMS2?

Low Force Boost amplifies the weakest forces — fine road texture and light kerbs — without raising overall Gain. It helps low-torque bases feel more detailed, at the cost of some clipping headroom. Each preset in the guide lists a suggested LFB value.

What is a Custom FFB file and how do I install it in AMS2?

A Custom FFB file is an `ffb_custom_settings.txt` that replaces Automobilista 2’s default force model, and it goes in the game’s Documents/Automobilista 2 folder. Gonky Racing catalogues 39 profiles from John B. Ellis’s Custom-FFB Collection and cross-checks them against 37 of its 60 wheelbases: your base’s page shows the values to enter in AMS2 and the file to download. Pilot Manager installs it for you, detects your base and backs up your original file before replacing it.

Should I use in-game Damping in AMS2?

Usually keep AMS2 Damping low or at zero, since most wheel bases already apply their own damping; raise it only if the wheel feels nervous. The guide includes the recommended Damping per base.
