Rivals: the AI grid for your AMS2
Automobilista 2 lets you replace the AI drivers with whoever you like, with the name, car and character you give them. It works with one file per class in Documents\Automobilista 2\UserData\CustomAIDrivers\, and the Rivals tab in Pilot Manager writes it for you — keeping a copy of what you had, so you can go back.
✏️ Build your own from scratch
A blank grid: you set the names, pick each one’s car and adjust pace, aggression, defending and mistakes. Whatever you do not touch is not written, so the game leaves it as it was.
📦 Open the packs that already exist
The community publishes grids as
.zip, .rar and .7z. You open them, see what is inside before installing anything, and install with a backup and a way back.🔗 Merge names and skills
Half the community publishes packs with only names and the other half with only skills. They can be merged into one, matched by livery, with both authors credited inside the file.
📅 A whole season in one file
A 12-round pack is 12 files you have to swap by hand before each race. They get merged into a single one, with the per-track settings inside.
Already have a pack and want to check it? Paste it into the validator and it tells you what AMS2 is going to ignore silently: misspelled properties, out-of-range values, repeated liveries and countries with no flag. Across 42 community packs it found 178 entries with an error their authors did not know about, and the game warns about none of them.
