Calculate fuel, margin and pit stops without wrestling a spreadsheet before joining the server.

Public sprint

20 min · +1 lap · no refuel if it fits

Standard race

30 to 45 min · +2 laps · check tank

Endurance

60 min or more · +3 laps · pit strategy ready

Fuel calculator

Enter your real practice pace and keep margin. In timed races, AMS2 can give you an extra lap if you cross the line before the clock expires.

Recommended pit preset

In AMS2, pit fuel is added to what remains in the tank. That is why start fuel and fuel to add are separated.

Normal preset

Calculated fuel, tyres based on wear and repairs off unless it is a long race.

Fuel only

Fuel only to lose less time when tyres can survive the stint.

Rain

Wet tyre preset ready before the race if weather can change.

Damage

Conservative preset with repairs enabled for endurance or championships.

Pre-race checklist

1Run 5-8 practice laps and use average consumption, not your cleanest lap.
2Check whether the server allows refuelling and whether a mandatory stop is enabled.
3Save the pit preset before joining the track.
4Check MFD/ICM in race before entering the pit lane.
5For multiclass or traffic, keep one extra lap of margin.

What each number means

Start fuel

Recommended litres at race start. With stops, it is not always the full race fuel.

Race fuel

Estimated fuel for all laps plus margin.

Add in pit

Litres to request at the stop, after subtracting what you expect to have on entry.

Stint

Approximate laps each race segment should cover.

Risk

Quick warning if the margin is low or if refuelling is disabled with that tank size.

How to use it in AMS2

Measure consumption over real 5 to 8 lap runs, not from one perfect lap.
For timed races: duration / average lap, round up and add margin.
If a mandatory stop is enabled, prepare the pit preset before going out and check the MFD in race.
With a fuel multiplier, apply the multiplier before calculating the margin.
On long tracks, in rain, FCY or dense traffic, choose a conservative margin.

Quick recipe

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate fuel for a timed AMS2 race?

Divide total race duration by your average lap, round up and add one or two margin laps depending on traffic, weather and extra-lap risk.

How much fuel margin should I use?

For a short clean race, one lap is often enough. For endurance, rain, multiclass or FCY, use two or more laps.

Does the calculator replace real car consumption?

No. It is a planning tool. The right input is measured litres per lap with your car, fuel map, load and real pace.
