The Career Mode has not been officially released yet. This guide collects information confirmed by Reiza Studios and community analysis. It will be updated as soon as there are official announcements.
The Career Mode of Automobilista 2 is the most ambitious single-player career system Reiza Studios has announced for the game. Unlike simple career modes in other simulators, the AMS2 version is designed to reflect a real climb through motorsport categories: from entry-level series to major championships.
The system will integrate the licence and performance engine already present in the base game, connecting on-track performances with driver career progression.
Reiza Studios has stated that Career Mode is one of the major milestones on the 2026 AMS2 roadmap.
The career mode will use a category-based licence system, requiring the driver to earn access to higher-tier series through strong results.
A contract system reflecting motorsport economics is expected: negotiating with teams, securing sponsors and managing season budgets.
Reiza has confirmed significant AI improvements for the single-player experience, especially targeting Career Mode.
From entry series (Formula Junior, GT4…) to premium categories (Vintage Formula, Stock Car Pro…), drivers advance by winning championships.
Access to specific series will be tied to corresponding DLC. More content expands the career universe.
Even though Career Mode hasn't arrived yet, there are several things you can do to be ready when it does:
The Career Mode licence system will likely start from your SR. Compete on Gonky Racing to reach the highest possible licence before launch.
Formula Junior, GT4, GT3, Stock Car and Vintage Formula are the most likely career mode series. The more familiar you are, the better.
More DLC = more series available in Career Mode. Use the DLC guide to choose packs with the best value.
Knowing circuits from memory makes a big difference against AI in race conditions. Gonky Racing's track pages have reference times and records.
Reiza Studios has planned it for 2026. No exact date has been announced. This page will be updated once official confirmation is available.
Reiza has not specified the distribution model, but it is most likely a free base-game update, as it is a core single-player feature.
No. You will be able to play Career Mode with the base content. DLC expands the number of available series and categories but is not mandatory.
Reiza has not confirmed a traditional multiplayer career mode. The initial focus is single-player. For competitive online play, Gonky Racing offers rankings, Safety Rating and championships.
Reiza has not published the full list, but the base-game series are expected: Formula Junior, GT4, GT3, Stock Car, Vintage Formula, Porsche Cup and other popular AMS2 categories.
No. Career Mode is an offline experience. Your SR and GRating on Gonky Racing only change through races on community servers.
On the official Reiza Studios Discord, the AMS2 Steam Community and the Reiza forum. Gonky Racing will also update this guide when announcements are made.
Gonky Racing offers weekly races, real-time rankings, Safety Rating, GRating and championships — the best way to arrive at Career Mode at your highest possible level.
