Gonky Node Manager

Run your own AMS2 server

Gonky Node Manager is a free Windows app that installs and manages a dedicated AMS2 server — for you alone or for your community. No command line, no config files. Just click Start.

What's included

One-click start & stop
Launch or kill your AMS2 Dedicated Server instantly from the dashboard.
Track rotation editor
Pick circuits and car classes with photos and logos. The app writes the config automatically.
Full server config
Set session lengths, weather, damage, penalties and more from a visual form.
Live player list
See who's connected in real time. Get notified when a player joins or the server crashes.
Mod cars and tracks
Lock a mod class in the rotation, or open a free room on a mod track. Drivers’ Pilot Manager tells them what is missing and installs it as they join.
Run it from the website
Switch to Remote and your community manages the server from GonkyRacing.com: rotation, events and championships, with nobody at the PC.
Minimum licence
Set the GonkyRacing licence a driver needs to stay: anyone below gets a warning and is kicked.
Safe and up to date
It updates itself and only installs updates signed by Gonky Racing; a modified installer is refused.

What it looks like

Six of its screens, from version 6.6 itself.

Server
Server Start and stop, the state of the node, AMS2 and the listener, the circuit and class loaded, the ports your router needs open, and the console.
Configuration
Configuration Name, password, grid size, AI that fills the grid, sessions, weather, damage, penalties and a minimum GonkyRacing licence — a form instead of a config file. Saves as you type.
Rotation
Rotation Circuits and car classes — mod classes too — with their map and logo. Drag to reorder, and save the whole thing as a preset.
BOP
BOP Ballast, power and drag per driver, and it tells you when a class cannot be evened out — no matter what you set.
Settings
Settings Language, your highlight colour, start with Windows, keep AMS2 up to date and start the server on its own.
About
About Your version and channel, every release note, a button to copy your node’s details for support, and a card to share the app with a friend.

Set up your server

Two steps, about 2 minutes.

1

Install the app and sign in with Steam

Download Gonky Node Manager, run it on the Windows PC that will host the server, and sign in with Steam. That is what tells us whose server this is, so we can help you if something breaks.

Download Gonky Node Manager (.exe)
2

Choose who the server is for

Yours, or one of the communities you manage — the app offers them in a list, with nothing to type. If you are setting up someone else’s server, paste the pairing code from their community panel instead.

See Communities

Setting up someone else’s server? Then you need their pairing code: it is in their community panel, under “Manage Node Manager” → “Servers”. It expires in 10 minutes, so have the app ready before you copy it.

Thinking of a community?

A community gets a public page, a spot in the directory, events with sign-ups, several servers, more than one admin, and a welcome message of its own. A personal server races just the same — it simply does not carry all that.
