MOZA AI Coach: the AI that moves your wheel, and the duel against Jarno Opmeer at Gamescom

An AI that doesn't tell you how — it makes you do it

Most sim racing coaching tools show you a graph and point out where you lost time. MOZA AI Coach does something different: it is the first AI coaching software in sim racing capable of actively controlling compatible hardware. In other words, it moves the wheel and acts on the pedals while you drive.

The idea is to learn with your body, not only with your eyes. By guiding steering and pedal inputs, the system aims to let you physically feel the correct line and build muscle memory — something telemetry alone cannot give you.

MOZA is explicit about the framing: AI as a coach and training partner, not a replacement for the driver. It is the difference between an autopilot and a co-driver correcting your hands.

The duel: AI vs human, 29 August

To prove the point, MOZA is running the AI vs Human Driver Challenge at its booth. On 29 August, global ambassador Dirk Schouten and Jarno Opmeer, three-time F1 Esports World Champion, take on the AI.

The showdown will be livestreamed on MOZA's official YouTube channel, so you can follow it without being in Cologne.

Beyond steering wheels

The booth shows that MOZA is no longer only about sim racing: there are motion systems, flight simulation, truck, farming, and AI technologies such as AI Coach and AI Motion.

There are competitions too: the Leaderboard Challenge rewards the three fastest drivers each show day, and MOZA takes part in the Xbox Digital Passport, where a MOZA R3 bundle is up for grabs.

If you want to improve your lap times before the AI arrives, we have a Force Feedback settings guide and the community driving guides.
