Status
NO, it is not available yet.
Reiza’s last official word, from 4 February 2026 — and the only mention of career mode in any of their 2026 announcements:
“you may expect its implementation to take place in stages, with initial still planned for the latter half of 2026”
Reiza Studios · “Automobilista 2 2026 Development Preview” · 4 February 2026
Checked on 16 August 2026 against Reiza’s official announcements: nothing new since February.
The official one is not here, but the community has been building career layers that work today on top of AMS2. None are made by Reiza and none replace the official mode, but all four can be used right now:
A persistent career: you earn a seat at a team with its own expectations, 20+ series, results detected via telemetry and rivalries that stick. AI drivers have their own careers and age over time.
The most automated one: no per-race setup at all. 5,813 downloads and a 4.86 rating on OverTake.
Progression and stats with an Elo rating for you and every AI driver. No economy or sponsors: purely racing and climbing.
The most ambitious, and the only paid one: a management layer with sponsors, car development, hiring and a multi-championship calendar. Reads your real AMS2 results live.

Even though Career Mode hasn't arrived yet, there are several things you can do to be ready when it does:
Gonky Racing SR is independent from Career Mode, but clean and consistent driving will still help against the AI.
Formula Junior, GT4, GT3, Stock Car and Vintage Formula are the most likely career mode series. The more familiar you are, the better.
Reiza has not explained Career Mode DLC support. Choose packs for what they offer today, not for future promises.
Knowing circuits from memory makes a big difference against AI in race conditions. Gonky Racing's track pages have reference times and records.
Yes, community-made ones. Race Pace, Zero to Apex and ApexRivals Career Mode LITE are free and add progression, rivals and persistent championships on top of Automobilista 2; Apex Racing Manager is paid (early access, from $12) and adds a management layer with sponsors and car development.
